He is the grandson of Atty. Victoriano B. Tirol, founder and first President of University of Bohol; He is the eldest son of Former Vice-Governor Victor B. Tirol Sr. (UB Director) and incumbent Board Member Dr. Freda Tirol (UB Dean for Graduate Studies).
