DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
COMPANY PROFILE
ODC Projects Pvt. Ltd. was formed by Vishal
Garg, an architect with a Masters degree from
University of Southern California, USA, and
Shilpa, a furniture designer from NID,
Ahmedabad.
Our exposure and working knowledge to the
international design standards has given us a
distinct edge over our contemporaries. The
designing of bold and vibrant interior spaces for
clients like MTV networks and more conservative
organisations back home was dealt with similar
vigor on a belief that individual style and character
are critical to the success of every project.
The firm provides the full range of design and
built services; from need assessment & space
evaluation, initial planning of the design concept to
working drawings, construction and installation for
the client.
With a repertoire of projects ranging from
corporate offices to hospitality to resorts, the firm
is known for its forte in designing and executing
elegant and vibrant contemporary interiors.
All projects undertaken by ODC Projects Pvt.
Ltd. are directly under the supervision of Mr.
Vishal Garg.
The team is formed by a small group of young
professionals who are enthusiastic about
working on unique and innovative design
solutions that are technically sound and
aesthetically appealing.
The emphasis is on teamwork in a non
hierarchical manner and value given to
individual contributions.
At ODC Projects, we believe that the key to a
successful project is a partnership that
combines hands-on involvement of our team
with our goals, insights and vision.

PROJECT: Birlasoft Limited
LOCATION: Noida
AREA: 128,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 4 Months
VALUE: 16 Crores
The Company wanted to break away from its traditional image and have a
more contemporary feel to its interiors that reflects its new dynamic
approach.
The design incorporated use of vibrant colors and break out areas throughout
the office space to provide relief from the otherwise tiring and monotonous
work.
The design encompasses modern day telecom and data networking
requirements to achieve seamless integration of physical work environments
with the digital domain.
PROJECT: British Broadcasting Corporation
LOCATION: New Delhi
AREA: 10 ,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 4 months
VALUE: 7 Crores
This prestigious project for the BBC in India posed some particular challenges in trying to
realize a specification for a 24/7 TV, Radio and online News Bureau in a building that was
never designed for contemporary broadcasting.
The attractive reception is strategically placed to maximize the use of the space behind it and
divide the corporate office from the studios. The look is very contemporary with a stylish
steel finished reception table, light colored flooring with smart sofas, graphic panels against
a crinkled glass wall and accessories. The final touch is the blue cove lighting that adds
drama to the space.
Graphic display along the corridors with layered glass walls that screen off the main work
areas and add interest to the otherwise long and narrow space. At the end of the corridor is
the cafeteria and conference room with clear glass panels that give a sense of openness to the
space and allow plenty of natural light inside. The sense of drama continues with the dark
cafeterias ceiling, pendant hanging lamps along a sweeping counter with bar stools and an
open service counter.
The studio design conforms to the highest standards in terms of acoustics and interior
elements. The double walls with sound soak partitions help in achieving the desired DB
levels inside the studios and the inclined windows between the studios add to the aesthetic
appeal and add to the acoustics inside the studios.
The overall space works well in terms of functionality, is bright and cheerful, and forms an
ideal space for creative work and interaction.
PROJECT: NEW RIVER
LOCATION: NEW DELHI
AREA: 20,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 3 Months
VALUE: 4 Crores
This new venture started by this established software company called for an
equally fresh environment. The call centre had to be complete with all modern
facilities, training rooms, and other support areas.
The result is a well-organised space with two free flowing passages between
the work-station areas. The middle order grid is different from the flanking
sides so as to break the monotony of the huge open hall.
A central focal point is the glass encapsuled meeting room with a colored cove
ceiling that acts like an instant star attraction.
A series of strikingly colored two-toned walls in bright yellow, orange and
turquoise make a strong design statement along the end walls of the hall &
other areas.
PROJECT: SPARTA TECHNOLOGIES
(A KPIT Cummins Company)
LOCATION: NOIDA
AREA: 40,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 6 Months
VALUE: 6 Crores
This business group was looking for a team of young designers to design a
start up facility for a software development center with a state of the art server
room, training rooms and other staff & managerial areas.
Value addition to the basic functional layout was carried out by combining a
vibrant variety of colors and rich texture of materials to enliven the space.
The workstation layout and flowing corridors are planned to break the
monotony of an otherwise vast space. Break areas are planned so that the
passages terminate in an interesting manner, as well as to provide for informal
seating.
PROJECT: AJUBA SOLUTIONS
LOCATION: CHENNAI
AREA: 13,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 2.5 Months
VALUE: 2 Crores
Ajuba, a premier provider of Internet-enabled business process outsourcing services, was based in
Tidal Park, the high tech IT paradise of Chennai. The project won the best interiors award at Tidal
Park, based on its quality, layout, ambience, movement and circulation.
The basic layout is divided into three principal areas- the corporate section with the administration
wing, the call centre and the training area.
All wood, laminates and veneers are in steam beech. The black granite band in the reception flooring
area visually directs traffic towards the corporate area. The height of the ceiling varies, in tandem
with the flooring pattern.
The highlight of the interiors is the 100-foot hand painted wall in a strong two-tone color scheme for
inspiration and breaking monotony.
PROJECT: Mark Pi
LOCATION: Ludhiana
AREA: 3,000 Sq. Ft.
TIME FRAME: 2 months
VALUE: 60 Lacs
This 140 Pax Restaurant in Ludhiana was the first large retail outlet of Mark Pi, an
International Chinese Fast food Chain, with over 70 outlets worldwide, in India. The design
brief was to create a brand image for this new entrant into the fast expanding hospitality market
in India.
This was achieved through a composite play of three colors which also form a part of the Mark
Pi logo. The vibrancy of the red along with the serenity of the ivory, splashed with a stroke of
black created a enticing space whick was higlighted with linearity in design.
With emphasis on an open familiar atmosphere, the open kitchen and cooking equipment are
placed near the seating area for show like presentation so that guests acn enjoy cooking scenes.
The ceiling highlights the seating area with floating disks through which are suspended chinese
lanterns which create the mood for chinese food.
PROJECT: Villa at Grand Mansions
LOCATION: Eros Rose wood City, Gurgaon
AREA: 7500 sq. ft.
TIME FRAME: 12 Months
The design brief was to create a plush yet contemporary interiors for a 7500
sq. ft. Villa built on a 1000 sq. mts. plot.
The design incorporated a fusion of rich fabrics and upholstery along with
stylised furniture.
There was an extensive use of inlay work along with floral patterns in fabrics
and vinyl wall coverings to create a space which was rich in its feel without
being jarry.
