Dr. Bong is the Dean and an Associate Professor of School of Science and Technology in Wawasan Open University. Before this, she was a Senior Staff Researcher in MIMOS Berhad, a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Computer Science at the University Sains Malaysia (USM) and Senior Lecturer in Wawasan Open University. She received her Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in August of 2006. She was a recipient of Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Fellowship Award for Ph.D. programmes from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia.
