In June 1997 moved to Raleigh, NC in search of more opportunities on the career front and better weather. I took a huge leap of faith that everything would work itself out by moving with no job and limited funds. After scoping out the job scene by working a few different contract jobs I landed what turned out to be my dream job as a portfolio manager for the State of North Carolina Pension Fund. In March 2000 I was introduced to my husband via blind date. We married two and a half years later (September 2002) and honeymooned in Australia (someplace I always wanted to see, but never thought I would).
