From Death Row to Pulpit
All began from a simple love affair that went horribly wrong when a stray bullet that killed my companion. I was arrested by the police for murder in 1985. On the 28th of 1987 I was found guilty as charged by nine members of the Assizes Court of Mauritius. I was placed in a solitary confinement cell for five years, only able to see the sunlight for half an hour in the morning and another half an hour in the afternoon. I was depressed as my court appeals were rejected at the national level.
