In a nutshell, I am a hybrid of scholar and practitioner with a background in media and communication studies. My scholarly expertise lies in film, television, and audiovisual media practice, applied media aesthetics, applied communication, and intercultural communication, as well as media creativity and innovation. Besides working toward completing my PhD at the University of Groningen, I am also working as a freelance audiovisual media maker with specializations in story development, script-writing, and cinematography.
