Systems based on persuasive technologies aim to modify users¡¯ attitudes, motivation, intentions, or behavior through persuasion and social influence. The aim of the first stage is to explore the combination of personalization and persuasive techniques. For example, persuasive techniques can be used to better explain the reason for a set of recommendations, in order to justify them to the user. Similarly, these techniques can be used to deliver enhanced personalization by tailoring the interface adapted to the particular user.
