I have graduated and got my PhD in Life Sciences in StPetersburg, Russia and then went on to work as a researcher firstly in University of Tubingen, Germany and later on in University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Naturally I got involved in various international collaborative projects and developed a strong interest in management of international collaboration. While in Edinburgh, I did part-time MBA which enhanced my interest for the research policy, leadership and innovation management. I moved from lab bench to office firstly as a manager for Edinburgh Centre for Bioinformatics and later took my current position with Brunel University.
