I have been venturing in the African technology and media space since 2003, highlighted by my ethnographic research on the emergence of software cultures in Kampala, Uganda. Later I set up the ICT Entrepreneurship fund at Hivos, and taught classes in digital entrepreneurship at the University of Amsterdam. An angel investor and partner at Sanage Ventures, I am also the cofounder of AfriLabs, a pan-African network of innovation hubs, and support ActivSpaces, a Cameroon based incubator. I am a cofounder of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) and in 2007 I founded Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), the leading online platform serving the African startup community.
