My research interests span a wide range of aspects of the sociology, economics, and politics of development including rural and agricultural transformation, food security, aid effectiveness, good governance, and poverty reduction. My current research focuses on the question of how effective are farmer-based organizations in improving smallholder farmers鈥� access to agricultural services such extension services, farm inputs and credit.
