I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil with over 7 years of R&D experience as a research assistant for the Brazilian power industry in the application of nonlinear optimization models to large-scale problems in electricity. I am currently a research staff member of IBM Research Brazil.
