The Amateur Basketball Referees of Abra, simply known as ABRA Refs, is the only well-respected organization of amateur basketball arbiters in the province of Abra promoting quality, effective and efficient basketball officiating. The group was conceptualized by then BAP Referee Raphael "Sir Paeng" Peig and supported by then BAP Provincial commissioner Bangued, Abra SB Member Joseph Domino "Boss Doms" Valera when they have a falling out with some offficers of then BAP-Abra Commission. ABRA Refs was formed last December 18, 2008.
