Mario is currently organizing an open-access venture acceleration program in Seoul, South Korea to provide training and networking opportunities for scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs.
He is also working as a freelancer for South Korean researchers on how to improve the reach of their results and to communicate the relevance of their work beyond the research community. He serves as an editor for pre-submission research papers in science, engineering, medicine, and economic policy. He also holds seminars for graduate students and post-graduate researchers to assist them in developing plans to transition in their work from basic research to translational research.
