Born and raised in Hong Kong, Elaine comes from a family with current businesses in retail, entertainment, and sports management. She is a third generation of a family in education, philanthropy and infrastructure development. She was director of sales and planning during which she ran the balance sheets, maintained relationships with landlords and oversees contracts, which later had spun into strategic partnerships and joint-ventures with Hong Kong developers families.
She began embarking on a banking career with Credit Suisse, Sun Hung Kai Financial, and Nomura. She was previously Senior Vice President at BNP Paribas for China Market.
