Millennials are leaving extensive digital footprints online through increased use of communications technologies, social media, and sharing personal information. As 92% of 18-29 year olds in America use the internet, nearly half have searched for information about themselves and future generations may have an even greater online presence through constant data gathering across multiple devices and platforms. This raises questions about how much private information individuals choose to share publicly and what digital legacy they leave behind.
