I am a medical microbiologist by training and worked on infectioaus agents. Prestly i am working as Consultant Microbiologist at Intermediate Reference laboratory (IRL) at STDC Agra. I worked on Candida spp., incidence and prevalance, clinical presentation and risk factors associated with Candidemia, antifungal susceptibility test (AFST) (In-house laboratory developed methods verses CLSI methods) and molecular characterization (RAPD, RFLP, RT-PCR, PCR). I worked on various yeast spp. (Pichia spp., and Malasezia spp. etc) that plays a major role in nosocomial invasive fungal infection in critical ill patients.
