Irene lives in Castrillón, Spain in the northern region of Asturias on the Cantabric Coast. She enjoys being near the beach, the mild climate, and the kind people. However, she does not like that it often drizzles and the weather can be too humid. Additionally, coal mines are closing and the city of Avilés is one of the most polluted in the world. Overall though, Irene feels Asturias is perfect and the unique place she wants to live.

- 3. I. Introduction • Hi! I live in Asturias, Spain. It’s in the north of my country and on the Cantabric Coast. • The population is over 1.000.000 people and our pricipal language is Spanish.

- 5. Things I like • About my region, there are many things I like. They are: • I love being near the beach. • I like the climate: in winter isn’t very cold and in summer is warm.
