Alexa grew up in suburban Philadelphia, a tony enclave known as The Main Line. She is the only daughter of a prominent Philadelphia physician. Alexa attended a private all-girls' boarding school and earned an Ivy League education. She studied and learned ballet under the tutelage of the legendary ballet instructor, Florence Cowanova. Alexa is a former debutante, an Elite model and beauty queen who served as an ambassador of goodwill for Mayor Wilson Goode of Philadelphia.
