Born in Medan and spend his chlidhood in Jalan Samanhudi No 16 Medan North Sumatera, Indonesia. Between 1972 to 1974 lived in 6313 A Ocean Avenue, Ventnor NJ 08406 and join the Ventnor Middle School class of 1973 and 1974 ( 6 and 7 th grade ). During 1974 to 1980 lived in Jalan Pasar Baru 16 Medan and entering SMP and SMA Immanuel High School. Graduated from Medical School FKUSU in 1987 and Magister Specialist Pulmonology and Respiratory Physician from FKUI 1998. In 2000 invited as a Lung Cancer Fellow in Dijkzigt Ziekenhuis Rotterdam and Daniel den Hoed Kliniek Kanker supported by Wilhemina Fonds Dutch Cancer Society.
