I would like to present myself to you through my Celtic birth stone. These stones are made from glass and each month of the year is associated with a specific tree. The November tree is a Birch tree and symbolizes healing, the ability to look into the future regardless of the past, and inner strength. This birth stone is one of my most valuable possessions, and I believe that something of myself, as a person is encased in this symbol.

My roots are in the Free State. I was born in Bloemfontein and grew up in Koppies. My tree was then re planted in Pretoria, where I grew for 12 years amongst the Jacarand
