Ali Sowaid is a calm, compassionate and conscientious educator. Being a multidisciplinary teacher, who teaches English, History and Geography, he has provided his colleagues with insight in how to integrate literacy strategies across different key learning areas to ensure that student outcomes are maximised. His ability to utilise innovative and culturally appropriate teaching strategies was recognised by the Australian Curriculum Studies Association, who awarded him with a Curriculum Innovation Award in 2009.
