From 1997-1998, she was part of the Multi-Sectoral Task Force in Maritime Development. Her contribution in charting the development blueprint for vibrancy and global competitiveness of the Philippine Maritime Sector in the 21st century was recognized by the Philippine Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC).
