Dr. Amy Luz U. Catalan is a professor in the Languages Department of the University of St. La Salle, Bacolod City. She has been teaching for 13 years in the said academic institution, conducting classes in Speech, Research, and Literature. She finished her doctorate degree in Applied Linguistics, and her Master of Arts in Teaching major in Reading, Language, and Literature in the university where she currently works. Her baccalaureate degrees in Literature and Political Science, and Secondary Education were taken in De La Salle University, Manila where she received the Best Thesis Award in Literature during her graduation in 1993.
