Ana Patr铆cia Hil谩rio holds a PhD in Sociology of Health and Illness from Royal Holloway, University of London. She is a member of the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology, Lisbon University Institute. From 2011 to 2015 she was a board member of the Research Network of Sociology of Health and Illness of the European Sociological Association. Her main research interests focus on the sociology of health and illness, sociology of the body, oicology of aging, sociology of gender, sociology of emotions, sociology of children and sociology of death and dying.
