Death theme explained: My incredible husband, Isamu, died of a brain tumor in July of 2002. Our son Gilbert was 19 months at the time. This reality has shaped and reshaped my life. After 15 years working in book publishing, first for Chronicle Books in SF and then from a distance for Melcher Media in NY, I decided to go back to school to become a nutritionist. I currently address diet, nutrition, and lifestyle with people with serious health issues, seeing those that the medical model has somehow failed or that what to take healing into their own hands. I teach on-line classes regularly. I love my work. It feels like I am finally living my art. What a gift.
