After completing the Infectious Diseases training at Universidade de S茫o Paulo, I became involved from February 2009 with clinical and epidemiology research on tropical diseases with a focus on malaria at the Funda莽茫o de Medicina Tropical Dr. Heitor Vieira Dourado (FMT-HVD). At FMT-HVD, I performed a wide array of activities comprised by field epidemiology work on rural areas of the Amazon region, providing specialized medical care to patients suffering from infectious diseases at a tertiary reference centre and coordinating and performing clinical research.
From 2009 to 2014, I have also integrated the Infectious Diseases Faculty at the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA).
