I am a Computer Science student at UFSCar (http://ufscar.br).
I began learning to write Perl programs since I was about 13 years old. It then became my favorite programming language, although since then I have coded in several other languages (e.g. Java, C, etc), mostly for learning purposes. Around that same age, I switched my main OS to Linux, which is still my default.
Most of my work has been web based, from simple websites to more complex web applications. I have also developed a few GUI apps, and hundreds of small text-based programs, libraries, etc.
I also have some experience managing and configuring servers, including databases, HTTP servers, and other services.
