I am privileged to be studying DNA repair under the supervision of Dr. I. Ismail as a graduate student in the University of Alberta's Department of Oncology. In my previous research with Dr. Nicolas Touret, I investigated how natural products known as beta-glucans stimulate the immune system through direct interactions with immune cells. It is my hope that these findings contribute to the development of novel anti-fungal vaccines.
