Andreas Panagopoulos was born in Athens. He graduated from high school in 1981. He started working as a journalist in 1980, while still in high school. In 1982, he left Greece to study Archeology at the Utah University (USA). He continued his studies in Sociology and Political Sciences this time at KEAN College of New Jersey and later on at the Hunter College of New York. In 1988 he started working for daily newspaper “Eleutherotypia”. He participated in the so-called “Radio Spring” working as a broadcasting producer and script author in radio stations as “Diavlos 10” of Western Attica and “Athens 9,84” until 1992.
