Andreas Panagopoulos was born in Athens. He graduated from high school in 1981. He started working as a journalist in 1980, while still in high school. In 1982, he left Greece to study Archeology at the Utah University (USA). He continued his studies in Sociology and Political Sciences this time at KEAN College of New Jersey and later on at the Hunter College of New York. In 1988 he started working for daily newspaper 鈥淓leutherotypia鈥�. He participated in the so-called 鈥淩adio Spring鈥� working as a broadcasting producer and script author in radio stations as 鈥淒iavlos 10鈥� of Western Attica and 鈥淎thens 9,84鈥� until 1992.
