I teach HS English in Lake Park, MN, and I am the Commander of the Headquarters company of the 231st Brigade Support Battalion out of Valley City, ND. I love my kids, Madison and Steele, more than anything. In the last ten years I've quit drinking and smoking, gone back to school to finish my teaching degree, finished Master's degree, deployed to two combat zones, buried a Soldier and moved away from my two kids. I am still thankful for the opportunities I have in this world, and everything I do is about moving myself forward. I am not perfect, and I'm not always happy. I love music, and there is nothing better than the serenity of running or working out with my headphones on. That is
