Avtar has a PhD in Theoretical Physics and research experience in quantitative computational engineering. Since leaving academia Avtar has held leadership positions in investment banking and consulting, specialising in financial engineering, quantitative risk management, structuring and product management.
Avtar is now the CEO and chief architect in Nivaura, a financial technology company for managing the full lifecycle of financial asset issuance and administration.
Avtar is also a director and advisor for a number of startups in finance and healthcare that leverage quantitative methods/analytics and Bitcoin/blockchain across Europe and Asia.
