Several years ago, I left the elementary school classroom on a mission to learn more about educational technology. Since then, I have worked with districts to implement technology solutions into classrooms throughout New England. Ranging from interactive whiteboards to video surveillance solutions, I noticed a large gap between everyday classroom practice and the technology being implemented. Millions of dollars are spent on technology, most of which is underutilized or suffering from lack of adoption. It was at that point that I wrote out my personal mission statement:
