Professor Sargeant is Professor of Fundraising at the University of Plymouth Business School and the Director of the new Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy. He was formerly the first Hartsook Chair in Fundraising at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Philanthropy at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia and Avila University, Kansas City, United States. He gained an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in 1993 and a PhD from the University of Exeter in 1996. He is one of the world鈥檚 foremost authorities in the domains of nonprofit marketing and fundraising.
