Biblical Connection
How we connect to
     God?
  - How do we get close to God? -
1. Complete honesty/
  vulnerability with God
- Honest about our faults and our feelings -
Job 42:7-8 (NIV)

7After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the
Temanite, I am angry with you and your two friends, because you
have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.8So now
take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and
sacri鍖ce a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for
you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to
your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job
                                  has.
2. Choose to obey God in Faith
- Obey out of love and love motivates us to obey his
                    commands -
John 15:14 (NIV)

14You are my friends if you do what I command.
John 15:9-11 (NIV)
9As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now
remain in my love.10If you keep my commands, you will
remain in my love, just as I have kept my Fathers commands
and remain in his love.11I have told you this so that my joy
may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
3.Value what God values
- We care about what is important to those who we are
                      closed to -
Psalm 69:8-9 (NIV)
8I am a foreigner to my own family,
     a stranger to my own mothers children;
9for zeal for your house consumes me,
and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.
4. Desire the relationship with
God more than anything else
- We are as close to others as we choose to be -

God as you choose to be
