The Dept. of Civil Engg. initiated a B.Arch Course in the year 1989. Prof. G.V.S.Sai was instrumental in establishing the Division, which was inaugurated by Sri D.V. Subba Rao, Mayor, Visakhapatnam on 23rd October 1989. Independent Department status was confirmed on 9th April 2001. The faculty of the department had strived hard to establish a strong department. Since, architecture as a profession deals with the creation of a comfortable physiological and psychological living environment, it is very important to train the students with a holistic and futuristic perspective.
