Immediately following my undergraduate degree at Auburn University, I moved to Thomasville, Georgia, where I taught first grade for four years while completing my Master's degree from Valdosta State University. I moved back to Auburn afterward, in order to begin my Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education. I taught Early Childhood Education classes at Auburn University, while completing my graduate courses. I finished all of my Ph.D. coursework from Auburn University on December 1, 1999. I am A.B.D.
