My residency in nephrology was in the NINU in Cairo which is a teaching institute. In this 200 bed institute entirely dedicated to renal, urological and transplanted patients. It is a unique institute for nephrology in Egypt in which around 100 cases of renal transplantation are performed annually. I had the duties of selecting, preparing and following those patients before, during and after transplantation.
