Passionate about seeing people with disabilities create and sustain meaningful independent lives, Jeanette has worked over the past five years with youth and adults to access education, work and home life. Areas of special interest include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), universal design and differentiated instruction, accessible instructional materials (AIM) and creating sustainable educational technology environments.
Jeanette is also a writer, poet and community organizer and co-editor/contributor to Breath and Shadow, an online disability culture journal.
