THE MOMMIES: Catherine Anderson, Jess Kaminski, and Kelly Ruegner. ALICE MEGAN IT’S TWINS! Saturated and Unsaturated Fats – Megan (omega 3) and Alice (Stearic Acid)
Saturated Compound: is a chemical compound that has a chain of carbon atoms linked together by SINGLE bonds and has hydrogen atoms filling all of the other bonding orbital'sÌýof the carbon atoms. Carbon Atoms With SINGLE bonds Hydrogen Atoms Carbon & Hydrogen fill orbital's.
Carbon Atoms With DOUBLE or TRIPLE bonds Hydrogen Atoms Carbon & Hydrogen fill orbital's. UN-Saturated Compound: is a chemical compound that has a chain of carbon atoms linked together by DOUBLE bonds or TRIPLE bonds and has hydrogen atoms filling all of the other bonding orbital'sÌýof the carbon atoms.
SUBUNITS OF SATURATED COOH: The R-Group Oxygen, Carbon, and Hydrogen. A Carboxyl Group. The Carbon Chain: Notice only SINGLE bonds in the chain.
SUBUNITS OF UN-SATURATED COOH: The R-Group Oxygen, Carbon, and Hydrogen. A Carboxyl Group. The Carbon Chain: Notice the DOUBLE bonds in the chain.
THE FUNCTIONAL GROUP OF SATURATED AND UN-SATURATED FATS COOH: The R-Group Oxygen, Carbon, and Hydrogen. A Carboxyl Group.

Saturated Fat A saturated fat increases a person’s cholesterol level. Saturated fats are mostly found in meats and in dairy products. It can also be found in vegetable oil and butter…etc. Unsaturated Fat An unsaturated fat lowers a person’s LDL cholesterol level. Unsaturated fats are mostly in plant and animal products. These fats can be found in margarine, canola oil and in avocados. Are also know as…MONOUNSATURATED, POLYUNSATURATED, AND UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS!!!!

Like this guy…
Subunits Fat is a macromolecule and it is split up into fatty acids and glycerol's and a phosphate head.
Unsaturated fat and saturated fat are in a variety of foods, studies have found that these fats are not created equally. Unsaturated fats can help your heart, but saturated fats could be detrimental to your cholesterol and your heart. The chemical structure of a saturated fat is fully saturated with hydrogen atoms, and does not contain double bonds between carbon atoms. Unsaturated fats are liquid at room temperature and differ from saturated fats in that their chemical structure contains double bonds.
Why we make good parents!!! The reason why we make good parents is because….. The different types of fats that effect our bodies. The bad fat (saturated) we don’t want a lot of it but we do need a little because it acts as a cushion. But the good fat (unsaturated) is good for you. So over all we’re good parents because we know how to identify our twins, and treat them differently depending on their abilities and specialties.
