Beatriz Hern谩ndez holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from the Catholic University in Lisbon, obtained in 2015 with her dissertation "Las Shanghai Beauties: Cuerpos heterot贸picos e identidades catalogadas para la "Mujer Moderna" de principios del siglo XX". In 2012 she was awarded as Best Student of the Doctoral Program by The Lisbon Consortium and Milennium BCP Foundation. She is a member of the 鈥淒iffractions鈥� graduate journal editorial team, and of the Research Center for Communication and Culture at the School of Human Sciences, Catholic University.
