During his time at Gardner-Webb University, Benjamin Kimrey was a Dean's List student for every semester that he was enrolled in the school. He was once chosen to be the lead accounting tutor by his instructor. He won the Accounting Student of the Year Award for 2006-2007. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honors society.
