Polygons are closed, flat shapes made of straight lines. They can have any number of sides or angles and may be regular or irregular. Regular polygons have equal sides and angles, while irregular polygons do not. Common regular polygons include triangles, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons. Polygons can also be classified as convex if they curve outward or concave if they curve inward.
