Our story is like something you would read about.
In 2008 while working at the Training Evaluation Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, MO....
Brian became close friends with a fellow Soldier by the name of Paul Brooks, Nicole's husband.
Our families quickly became very close.
In May 2009, while on his second deployment, Paul Brooks was KIA in Baghdad Iraq. Brian was a pall bearer at his
service here in Springfield.
Brian offered his support and took great care to watch over
Nicole and her family after Paul passed. They kept in touch via email and facebook while Brian was deployed in 2009-2010.
Brian kept his promise to be there for Nicole and the kiddos when he returned home from his
