Love cannot be earned. Love cannot be taken from us. Love is given, freely and joyously. Love is forgiving and undemanding. Love is not a commodity that can be bought or sold to the highest bidder. Love cannot be broken. Love is simple and uncomplicated.
You cannot earn my love. Nothing you do or don't do can change my love. My love is unconditional. My love is always forgiving. Do not mistake my love for weakness. Do not mistake my love as license to mistreat me or demean me. Just because I forgive you for your wrongdoings does not mean I will stand by as you purposefully hurt me. Because while my love is unconditional, my being with you is not. My leaving does not mean I do not love you.
