Dimitrios Buhalis (http://www.buhalis.com) is Established Chair in Tourism, Director of eTourismLab and Deputy Director of the International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research (ICTHR) at the School of Services Management, Bournemouth University. He is also Professorial Observer at the Bournemouth University Senate and leads the development of cross theme multidisciplinary research across the University. Professor Buhalis is responsible for eTourism research and for incorporating eTourism in all aspects of tourism teaching and research. In recognition of his contribution, he was elected in August 2009, as a member of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism.
