This document summarizes statistics on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project cycle as of December 2008. It reports that there were over 4,300 CDM projects, with 1,243 registered and 888 issuances of Certified Emission Reductions. On average, it took 1,100 days from a project being published online to issuances being made. The registration review rate was 26% and issuance review rate was 24%, with a combined 43% chance of a project progressing without review.
