My maiden name is Cathy Corkill. I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, graduated from O'Gorman High School in 1990. After high school I received a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority there. I worked in television news for more than 13 years, and am currently working for AARP in the South Dakota state office as the associate state director for communications.
