About
Cell Site Analysis is the science of tracking or locating a mobile telephone. It can be conducted as an investigation in real-time or based upon historical records (voice/sms) available from the network operator. Cell Site Analysis is commonly used by Police and other investigative agencies to help test whether a suspect was at the scene of crime or lend support to an alibi. The results of a static survey (testing a specific location) or drive survey (testing radio frequency range) may be used for evidential purposes and demonstrated in a court of law by an expert witness.
