Chris Mattmann is the Chief Architect of the Instrument and Science Data Systems Section at NASA JPL with the responsibility for influencing science data system designs and facilitating the infusion of new technologies to meet our future challenges. He has over 13 years of experience at JPL and has conceived, realized and delivered the architecture for the next generation of reusable science data processing systems for the NASA Orbiting Carbon Observatory 1/2, NPP Sounder PEATE, and the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) Earth science missions.
